IELTS Preparation Plus_Weeks 11 - 20

The IELTS Preparation@BROWNS program has been designed to prepare international students to take the official IELTS exam.

 In the second 10 weeks of the IELTS Preparation@BROWNS program, students can progress at least .5 of a band score, from a minimum IELTS equivalent of 5.5 to 6.0 or more in all skills.  Successful completion of this level, weeks 11 to 20, will see students progress to a level ready to undergo the test and gain entry into a formal course. Students can enter and exit the IELTS Preparation@BROWNS program at any level they wish provided they meet the entry requirements.

 The course aims to assist students to improve their performance on the IELTS exam by developing their awareness, knowledge and skills in two broad areas:

  1.  English language ability – students will improve their reading, listening, writing and speaking skills and develop their knowledge and control of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and functional language.
  2.  Test knowledge – students will become familiar with the test format, assessment criteria, practical details of test day, and strategies for maximizing test performance.
